Aven solder suckers are designed to suck away molten solder, leaving previously joined terminals disconnected. The plunger is spring loaded and locks into places when pressed. When triggered by pressing the button, the piston springs up creating suction that sucks the solder off the soldering connection. The sucked solder collects in the barrel and can be easily removed. The anti-static tip helps prevent transmission of static to the PCB components.
