Designed for use with a rotary brush sanding wheel (sold separately), the 3M™ Cloth Assembly 441D features extra-fast cutting silicon carbide on a heavy X weight cotton cloth backing. It is used for smooth finishing of shaped metal or wood parts such as sprockets, gears and mouldings. Slow release of abrasive strips maintains constant wheel diameter, eliminating wheel adjustment during use.
