It's made of blue polypropylene insulation and is used specifically to install a blade-type automotive fuse in between a power source and a device. 3M fuse holders work well with solid or stranded wires ranging in sizes from 18 to 14 AWG, even in high temperatures up to 221 degrees F (105 degrees C).
