Made of hickory wood, this handle has been specially designed for use with SIMPLEX splitting axes. The ergonomic and varnished handle was developed to allow for the axes to be used on either side.Hickory is a type of wood with an extra long fibre structure, which contributes to the great stability of the handle. This structure also keeps the handles from ever breaking in two completely and ensures that both pieces remain connected. This prevents injuries caused by hammer heads that have come off.
