Description
3M Adhesion Promoter 06396 is a convenient liquid primer for enhancing the adhesion of 3M Acrylic Foam Tapes in automotive applications. This adhesion promoter works with most LSE plastics used for interior and exterior automotive trim and parts. Fast-drying fluid is available in .85 oz. (2.5 cc) sponge applicator packets, each covering up to 150 sq. in.Enhanced Adhesion in Convenient Packets
Formulated specifically for use with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes, our 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 06396 promotes a permanent bond with most low surface energy plastic materials commonly used in automotive instrument panel, interior trim and exterior trim parts. It works well with LSE plastics, as well as TPO, PPO, PP, PC, PC and ABS. The liquid primer dries in 30 to 90 seconds for fast and efficient application – once dry, it is ready to accept the attachment tape. The adhesion promoter is incorporated into an easy-to-use sponge inside a notched packet. Technicians simply tear open the top of the packet at the notches to expose the sponge and, using the bottom of the packet as an applicator, apply the fluid to the auto trim or part. Each sponge applicator packet contains .85 oz. (2.5 cc) of adhesion promoter, enough to cover up to 150 square inches. The adhesion promoter can also be cleaned from most surfaces using MEK or acetone solvents.
The 3M™ Adhesion Promoter 06396 is specifically formulated to be used with 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tapes and 3M™ Acrylic Plus Tapes for automotive applications.
