Our tightly bonded, specially coated automotive masking paper offers excellent resistance to paint solvents, urethanes, base coats and clear coats. This product was specifically made to meet the unique needs of automotive aftermarket applications.
The Ultimate Protection Against Overspray
When an ordinary masking paper doesn't provide the protection you may need, choose 3M™ Scotchblok™ Masking Paper for its excellent resistance to bleed through. Our auto masking paper comes with a polycoated backing to help prevent the strong solvents used in automotive paints, base coats and clear coats from penetrating to the other side, keeping freshly painted surfaces free from contamination. It also protects against dust contamination from paper fibers. When properly applied, this product saves auto body shops from costly clean up and rework associated with accidental paint overspray exposure.
Easy to Handle in the Shop
Our 3M™ Scotchblok™ Masking Paper offers easy handling properties to make the job of automotive technicians go smoothly and hassle free. It's a thin paper that conforms and attaches to a wide range of shapes. Use this masking paper with 3M masking tapes and masking equipment (sold separately). The paper easily tears when used with apron tapers and maskers, reducing paper waste that can occur with sloppy or ragged tears.
Made for Real Auto Body Shop Conditions
Meeting the demands of professional body shops, our masking paper performs to higher standards. For starters, it holds up well under wet sanding conditions. Additionally, it withstands bake cycles up to 225°F (107°C) for up to 30 minutes.
Gold Color Offers Easy Identification
We've given our masking paper a distinctive gold color so you can easily identify it from ordinary masking paper. When a job calls for masking paper with a higher degree of protection, you don't want to risk choosing the wrong masking paper and end up with accidental bleed through. That's why we colored this paper gold to make it easy to find.
