Features
The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that being struck by a falling object is the third major cause of workplace fatalities and that many of these accidents are completely preventable. A one-pound tool falling from 500 feet strikes the ground traveling at about 140 mph. According to OSHA standards, workers are currently required to be anchored when they are four feet or higher above the ground.
Knipex Tethered Tools provide effective protection against accidents caused by falling tools. These tools can be secured to be prevented from falling down during use with cherry pickers, scaffolding, ladders, and also by industrial climbers with wire ropes and high altitude rescue workers. The tether attachment mount point is welded securely to the multi-component comfort grip handle and the flat mounting point does not get in the way during normal work on the ground.
