Scotch-Brite Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core,PB-CB

Scotch-Brite Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core cleans and deburrs a variety of hard metals. Its a heavy-duty abrasive designed to deburr edges and cutouts, provide edge break and slight edge rounding, finish and clean substrates of mild surface contaminants from metal sheet or coil.

Premium Deburring and Finishing in One Step
Among our Scotch-Brite™ Flap and Cleaning Brushes, the Scotch-Brite™ Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core is one of the most universally praised brushes for its aggressive deburring attributes, while leaving a consistent, soft finish.

Combining coarse (CRS) aluminum oxide mineral with a hard density (7), this Scotch-Brite™ brush is especially tough and strong. When brought in contact with the workpiece, this brush will not yield or cut as softly as other brushes – for example, the Clean & Finish or High Strength Flap Brushes. As operators know, many variables impact which abrasive should be used. For some applications, a lighter, softer abrasive is the best choice. For applications that require heavy-duty deburring and finishing, our Scotch-Brite™ Premium Blend and Finish Bonded Cleaning Brush Steel Core is a good choice.

Durable Construction of Scotch-Brite™ Cleaning Brushes
We engineer Scotch-Brite™ cleaning brushes by attaching circular sections of non-woven material to a cylindrical core. Typical applications for cleaning brushes include coil cleaning prior to coating, deburring, reclaiming sheet and coil and scale/oxide removal. The Scotch-Brite™ brush has an arbor hole to accommodate a shaft and may be secured in place with a flange and key. It will not fray or splinter when faced with edges. The steel core on the brush keeps it sturdy and adds a level of durability to the brush when it’s run on finishing equipment. Operators may choose to add a lubricant or coolant when cleaning, because it helps wash away swarf and reduce loading, extending the brush’s service life.

The Many Benefits of Open Web Abrasives
Nonwoven technology makes our Scotch-Brite™ industrial abrasives unique. A combination of fiber strands, resin and abrasive mineral forms a thick, open web. The spring-like nature of the fibers responds to contours and effectively removes unwanted burrs, soils and contaminants while maintaining the geometry of the workpiece, which in turn reduces rework and boosts productivity. Gaps in the web allow swarf to escape, so debris does not clog the mineral.

Fibers in the web continually break down with use to reveal fresh mineral for exceptional consistency, superior cut performance and extremely long service life. Scotch-Brite products not only enhance productivity, but also increase operator safety by reducing the need for cleaning chemicals and pastes, and replacing wire brushes that can break off and cause injury. From aesthetic finishing to weld blending, deburring and more, Scotch-Brite abrasives work fast and deliver consistent results, part after part.

  • Resin bonded on steel core for increased durability
  • Resists deflection under heavy pressure
  • Aluminum oxide mineral cuts sharp but leaves a soft scratch pattern
  • Ideal for deburring, cleaning, finishing and surface preparation
  • Steel core helps minimize brush’s tendency to yield or deflect on the workpiece
  • Open web resists loading, contributing to longer abrasive service life
  • Open web responds to surface irregularities without altering geometry of the part
