Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Circle Buff GP 724280

A good starting point for many different light-duty applications, Standard Abrasives Buff and Blend Circle Buff GP is a versatile non-woven product designed to lightly blend, clean, deburr and finish a variety of metals and leave a consistent final finish. The threaded eyelet secures the plies together to create a thicker edge and screws onto a mandrel for attachment to a handheld tool.

Moderately Aggressive for Lighter-Weight Applications
Our Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend Circle Buff GP is a great multi-purpose product for general-duty industrial applications and has the pliability to reach into tubing or other contoured parts. Among the four Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend materials, the GP material is the least aggressive. Use it to remove light oxidation, blend minor surface imperfections, clean surfaces prior to coatings, remove small burrs, and perform basic equipment cleanup. Its non-woven construction makes the wheel spongy and responsive so that it conforms to workpiece contours, radii and internal diameters.

The Circle Buff can be run wet or dry. When the job requires a tougher product for higher-pressure applications, we recommend using a Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend HP or HS Product.

1, 2 or 3-Ply Options Offer a Range of Strength and Flexibility
Choose between 1-ply, 2-ply and 3-ply options in a range of diameters from 2-5". The 1-ply circle buff has the greatest flexibility for reaching into tubing and other tight spaces. The 2-ply option provides added stiffness, while the 3-ply circle buff is the best choice when strength is desired over flexibility. Our 2˝ buffs have an 8-32 eyelet, while the 3-5˝ buffs have a 1/4-20 eyelet.

The Many Benefits of Standard Abrasives™ Non-Woven Products
Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend non-woven products offer many benefits. Varying Buff and Blend materials help distinguish Buff and Blend products from each other, but all Buff and Blend products have an open web. The open web combines abrasive mineral and non-woven nylon fibers with a resin-reinforced bond. The resin bond securely anchors mineral to the fibers, making for a strong, durable abrasive.

Gaps between fibers allow swarf to escape, so the abrasive does not get clogged with debris. Minimizing swarf and debris prolongs abrasive service life and keeps minerals cutting sharper for longer. Nylon fibers won't splinter during grinding, offering a good alternative to steel wool. Moreover, as the fibers break down and fresh mineral is exposed, it reduces the likelihood of the disc smearing the surface. Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend products deliver a consistent cut and finish - part after part.

  • Moderately aggressive material offers great versatility and may be used for a variety of light-duty industrial applications, including cleaning and deburring
  • Designed for less aggressive use compared with HP material in the Standard Abrasives™ Buff and Blend line
  • Threaded eyelet holds the plies together and threads onto a mandrel for use with a small handheld tool
  • Multi-purpose abrasive material works well on most metals
  • Tough, pliable nylon web cleans and deburrs while leaving a professional finish
  • Open web is load resistant, limiting buildup of debris that can clog the abrasive
  • Two grades of aluminum oxide to choose from offer varying degrees of aggressiveness and finish: Medium (MED - maroon), and Very Fine (VFN - gray)
  • Can be run wet or dry
